Located in the centre of the historic Palma de Mallorca, with views of the ancient cathedral and bay, this 17th century palacio is a small, elegant and exclusive hotel which combines French, Italian and Mallorquin styles and offers excellent service to its guests. The interior of the Palacio Ca Sa Galesa has a library with a large open fireplace, a bar with furniture from the XVII and XIX centuries and the Cocinia Monet, which is a replica of French impressionist Claude Monet´s kitchen, and which serves tea and coffee with the best Mallorquin cakes in the afternoon.
The 12 rooms (5 doubles and 7 suites) are all individually decorated and named after famous musicians. For example "Rapsodia Azul" (Gershwin´s Rhapsody in Blue) has a private terrace with views of the garden. All come equipped with satellite television, minibar, safe, heating and air conditioning. The hotel has a beautiful patio with a fountain which leads into the enormous dining room with two lounges where guests can relax. Breakfast is served in a big hall called "El Cafe Ricks" from 08.30 to 11.00 am. If dinner is required a reservation can be made.
Leisure facilities on offer at the Palacio are a sun terrace with hammocks, fitness room, solarium, sauna and unique Roman bath located in a half cellar. The swimming pool is heated in the winter months and is the only one remaining in the gothic district of Palma. |
