The 17th century four star country Hotel Casa del Virrey is situated right in the heart of Majorca between Inca and Sencelles. With surroundings perfect for long, relaxing walks and cycle rides, the nearest town of Inca with its weekly market is only a few minutes away. The wide and sandy beaches on the north of the Island in Alcudia and Pollenca are about a 35 minute drive away. There are also excellent golf courses next to Pollenca and Bunyola. A train service operates from Inca into the capital, Palma.
The finca has been renovated with great care and attention to detail. Its 16 rooms, comprising suites and double rooms, all have large, modern bathrooms, air conditioning, central heating, satellite television, a telephone and minibar.
The entire hotel has been beautifully furnished and decorated with authentic oil paintings, antique furniture and rugs, tapestries, original marble fireplaces and a stone walled hall which dates back to the Renaissance period.
The restaurant "Dona Irena" and "Don Tomas" bar have been renovated in mediaeval style. A Majorcan buffet breakfast with home made bread, butter, cakes and marmalades is served in the dining room or on the terrace.
With the house full of the fuedal and noble charm and traditions of times long past , tt is only the swimming pool in the spacious and beautiful gardens that is a reminder of the 20th century. |
